Day 8 - Short term goals for this month and why

After injuring my knee and ankle a few months ago, and being sick with asthma last month, my gym routine has gone completely out the window.  My first goal is to get back into routine (gym 4-5 mornings a week).

I'd like to get another paper finished towards my optical dispensing certificate.  The course closes for the year in November.  I haven't been so motivated to get the study done this year, but if I don't complete (and pass) 4 papers this year, I have to pay back the course costs.  If that doesn't motivate me to get my A into G, I'm not sure what will!

My final short term goal for this month, would be to complete this blog challenge.  The reason I've never blogged before was that I don't feel like I've got anything interesting to say, and that I'm not a natural or skilled writer.  But, if this challenge has taught me anything, it's not really about that at all.  I'm learning more about myself as I ponder each topic.  I'm probing deeper into my thoughts and feelings, and evaluating why I feel/view/react the way I do.  I challenge you to do #30daysofme too!

Day 7 - A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

This post doesn't call for many words, but to choose only one picture was just too hard.  Someone who has had an enormous impact on me would be my brother David.  The pics below are of him!

Day 6 - Favorite super hero and why ..... ah, hang on, change of theme

I've been stuck on this post for days!  I was never really one for super heroes.  After googling and going through countless names and images, I still couldn't settle on one.  For this reason, I've changed today's topic!  Haha Take that!!!

So here goes:  "Two truths and a lie" - you can be the judge of which is which!

a)  I woke up during surgery on my right knee
b)  I started violin lessons when I was seven
c)  My photo was once on the front page of the NZ Herald

Day 5 - A picture of somewhere you’ve been to

I've had major problems getting this post up.  For some reason, none of the pictures I've wanted to use will upload.  I can't explain why! Humphh!

Eventually I went online to find some pictures, and found better ones!  These have been taken at Matauri Bay which is about 10 minutes from where I grew up.  This pictures below are of the Rainbow Warrior Memorial which sits at the north end of the bay.  The Rainbow Warrior was sunk in the bay in December 1987 (after being bombed in Auckland, was patched and towed to Matauri Bay and laid to rest).  This ship itself is now a diving attraction for tourists.

Having grown up locally Matauri Bay holds many special childhood memories.  It is such a awesome spot!

Day 4 - A habit that you wish you didn’t have

I am habittually messy!  I wish I wasn't!!!  My room is always a pigsty, and my car, at times, looks as though I live in it.  I've tried to be more disciplined and to keep things tidy, but it never lasts!  If I'm completely honest, on some level I don't mind living in organised chaos and I guess that's why I have never beaten this bad habit.  I just don't care about being tidy enough to change.

Day 3 - A picture of you and your friends

Being a Gen Y, with my life documented with countless pictures, it was really hard to pick just one photo for this post!

Steph, Cath, and myself
The picture above was taken around this time last year, on our way to the launch of AgeLOC Transformations.  Cath and Steph are my closest friends - both PNUTs (people not using twitter), but don't hold that against them!  They are the light and salt in my world.  I don't want to get too cliche here, but they truly are amazing women.

BtoB 10 Questions in 10 Minutes

I was approached by BtoB this week for an interview for their online business magazine.  I was a little shy about it, but thought since this blog is about sharing an opening up with you lot, I may as well put it out there for you to see.
